BESIII Collaboration meeting held

The 10th BESIII Collaboration meeting was successfully held in Liaoning University from June 3rd to 7th. More than 200 delegates from 18 institutes and 20 universities around the world attended this meeting.

The attendees listened to the reports, covering BEPCII/BESIII current status, the upgrading goals of the sub-detectors, progress of software development, etc. At the meeting, the latest progress on the physics analysis was also reported. After extended discussions, the Collaboration decided J/psi data collection would be the main task for the year 2011 and further, set the goals for data accumulation for the next five years.

Three new members were accepted at the meeting, which extended the list of collaborators to a total of 46. The new members are Soochow University, Henan University of Science and Technology and Hangzhou Normal University. Some personnel adjustments were also made withinthe physics analysis team, paper publishing committee and international conference committee.

It is decided that the next collaboration meeting will be held at the institute of High Energy Physics from October 25th to 28th,2010.
