  • Rutherford Lab ISIS Director Visits CSNS

    Prof. Robert McGreevy, Director of the ISIS pulsed neutron and muon source at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, UK, together with Prof. John Bouchard, Open University, UK, Mr. Zhang Shuyan and Mr. Zhang Peng, Director and Deputy Director respectively of Guangdong Materials and Genetics Polytechnic Institute, visited CSNS on April 20th, 2016.

  • CSNS First Drift Tube Linac Completes Beam Commissioning

    The first tank of the Drift Tube Linac (DTL-1) of the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) completed its beam commissioning on January 20th. The beam commissioning lasted for twelve days, and on January 18th, the beam reached the end of the first DTL tank with a peak current of 18 mA at 21.6 MeV, a transmission rate of 100% within the error of the Current Transformer.

  • All Magnets of CSNS Rapid Cycling Synchrotron Installed

    The last set of magnet (RCS-253Q quadrupole magnet) at the Rapid Cycling Synchrotron (RCS) of China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) was installed in RCS tunnel on Dec. 31, 2015, marking the completion of the CSNS/RCS magnet installation.
