  Machine-learning-driven observation of the elusive semi-leptonic decay of charmed baryon The BESIII Collaboration recently reported the first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed semi-leptonic decay Λc+ -> ne+ve, which employs a novel neutron reconstruction method based on a machine learning technology of Graph Neural Network (GNN). The result has been published in Nature Communications on January 15th, 2025 [Nat. Commun. 16, 681 (2025)].

  Study of D_s^+→f_0 (980) ρ^+ and ϕπ^+ decays through D_s^+→π^+ π^+ π^- π^0 The BESIII collaboration recently reported the first amplitude analysis and branching fraction measurement of D_s^+→π^+ π^+ π^- π^0 decays. The results have been published recently in Physics Review Letters on 7th Jan. 2025 [Phys. Rev. Lett. 134, 011904 (2025)].

  Test of Lepton Universality and Measurement of the Form Factors of D^0→K^* (892)^- μ^+ ν_μ The BESIII collaboration recently reported a test of Lepton Universality and precise measurement of the Form Factors of D0→K* (892)- μ+ νμ based on 7.93 fb-1 data collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV. The results have been published recently in Physics Review Letters on January 2, 2025 [Phys. Rev. Lett. 134, 011803 (2025)].

  Extracting the femtometer structure of strange baryons using the vacuum polarization effect The BESIII collaboration recently reported a method useful for hyperon-antihyperon pairs of different types which exploits the cross section enhancement caused by the vacuum polarization at the J/ψ resonance, enabling a precise determination of the hyperon structure function. The result has been published in Nature Communications on October 11th, 2024 [Nat. Commun. 15, 8812 (2024)].

  BESIII Physics and Software Workshop in Autumn 2024, Sep. 23-25, UCAS The BESIII Physics & Software workshop in Autumn 2024 was held during September 23-26th at UCAS Yanqihu Campus in Beijing (Onsite check in on September 22nd, departure on September 27th). The Yanqihu campus is located in Huairou prefecture 70km north to downtown of Beijing.

  First search for four-body Ds+ decays to e+e- final states The BESIII collaboration recently reported the first search for four-body D_s^+ decays to final states including an e+e- pair, based on 7.33 fb-1 data collected in the energy range √s=4.128-4.226 GeV. The results have been published recently in Physics Review Letters on September 17, 2024 [Phys. Rev. Lett. 133, 121801 (2024)].

  Strong and weak CP tests in sequential decays of polarized Σ^0 hyperons The BESIII collaboration reported the first pioneering strong-CP test in hyperon decays based on 10 billion J/ψ and 2.7 billion ψ(3686) data. The results have been recently published in Physical Review Letters on September 4, 2024 (Phys. Rev. Lett. 133 (2024), 101902).

  Precise Measurement of Born Cross Sections for e-e+→ DDbar at √s = 3.80 − 4.95 GeV On August 21, 2024, the BESIII collaboration has published an article entitled “Precise Measurement of Born Cross Sections for e-e+→ DDbar at √s=3.80-4.95 GeV” in Physical Review Letters [Phys. Rev. Lett. 133 (2024) 081901], reporting groundbreaking measurements of Born cross sections for the e+e-→ D0D0bar and D+D-bar reactions at 150 center-of-mass energies between 3.80 and 4.95 GeV with unprecedented precision.
