Hadron physics. Focus on hadron spectroscopy with BESIII experiment at IHEP in China, PANDA experiment at FAIR in Germany, and GlueX experiment at JLab in US.

Beijiang Liu’s principal research interest is in hadron physics. He made significant contributions to the light hadron spectroscopy studies at BESIII and the development of amplitude analysis tools. He served as light hadron group convener, physics coordinator of BESIII experiment and now chair of speakers’ bureau. He is also leading the IHEP group participating the GlueX experiment at JLab in US. He is supported by National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars and is a fellow of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
