BEPCII running restarted

The storage ring of the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPCII) restarted its running on October 24 after a maintenance of

 BEPCII real time status
103 days. The first beams were injected into the ring on the evening of October 24th, and the beam accumulation with an intensity of 25 mA for synchrotron radiation was realized on the morning of 25th.

During the maintenance, both the accelerator and the spectrometer completed many engineering items. Changes on hardware had presented many uncertainties for the commissioning. Since BEPCII’s restart, integrated commissioning has been intensely conducted and some hardware problems have been solved. With the integrated efforts, the accelerator started to provide beams for synchrotron radiation in just one week's time.

The successful commissioning marks the excellent machine performance of the BEPCII, which owes to the dedicated efforts of the whole BEPCII staff.
