BEPCII Special Magnets passed Acceptance Test
On June 21, 2006, an acceptance test on the BEPCII special magnets of the interaction region was carried out at IHEP with participation from Tsinghua University, Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility, University of Science and Technology of China and IHEP.
The Experts-group listened to the design and technical reports, studied magnet prototypes, magnet measurement instruments and their working environment.The group concluded that during the process of design and fabrication, a series of technical difficuties like great good field scope, small aperature space and high magnetic field requirements had been overcome, bold innovations had been tried by adopting high current density,high water flow speed and so on, thus physics requirements had been met.
