The dismantlement of the BEPC Storage Ring, being part of the Upgrade Project of BEPC known as BEPCII, started in an all round way on July 4, 2005 and has been successfully finished recently.

　　The circumference of the BEPC Storage Ring was 240 meters. More than 400 pieces of equipments including various kinds of magnets and supports, RF cavities, DC separators, kickers and ion pumps were dismantled. Vacuum chambers with a length of more than 200 meters, 270 various kinds of transformers and power controls were also dismantled.

　　Owing to the dedicated work of the engineering and technical staff, the job of dismantlement was well done and a sound foundation was laid for the work ahead. The dismantlement was just the first step, the coming installation and commissioning will be even more tough and challenging, persistent efforts shall be needed.
