Seminar
Title: The de Sitter Swampland Conjectures and Cosmic Acceleration
Speaker: Dr. Yun-Long Zhang(张云龙) (YITP, Kyoto University)

Place: Room 319, IHEP Library Building
Abstract: The swampland conjectures are proposed to distinguish effective field theories which are consistent with quantum gravity from those which cannot. The conjectures have been applied in the cosmic acceleration, including early-time inflation and late-time accelerating expansion. The speaker will introduce the criteria for a few typical models, such as the Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) inflation, K-essence, the emergent dark universe, as well as their connections with the Trans-Planckian Censorship Conjecture (TCC), based on our recent studies in [Refs. 1910.02979 & 1905.10950 & 1812.11105].
