Abstract:

The Nuclear Data Section of the International Atomic Energy Agency develops and disseminates nuclear and atomic data for a wide range of applications in energy and non-energy related fields for its Member States and the scientific community at large. An overview of  the current activities as well as the databases and web tools developed and maintained by the Section will be presented. 
About the speaker:
Paraskevi Dimitriou, born in Athens, Greece, obtained a DPhil at the University of Oxford. After her PhD she held an INFN Fellowship at the University of Pavia, Italy, a postdoctoral fellowship at the National research Center 'Demokritos', Athens, Greece, and an EU Marie Curie Fellowship at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium. Since 2006 she is staff Research Scientist at the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics of the National Research Center "Demokritos', working on nuclear reaction modelling for astrophysical applications. For the past 7 years, she has been working as a Technical Officer at the International Atomic Energy Agency where she has been responsible for nuclear structure and decay data and several nuclear reaction data projects.
