Abstract:
In today's world, writing papers in English is unavoidable in a scientific research career. And we all know the pressure to publish in the best possible international journals. But how do you write a clear and convincing paper, how do you choose which journal to submit to, what happens to a paper when it is submitted, and how can you improve your chances of surviving the review process? In this lecture, we will look at these questions with particular reference to Computer Science and related subjects. This lecture is particularly suitable for students, but has useful suggestions for researchers are any career stage.
