The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Project joins hands with the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Guangdong Province (GDADRI) in optimizing the preliminary design for the CSNS

A team of twenty experts from CSNS recently visited GDADRI; a process of co-design was initiated with efforts from both sides. Report and discussion sessions were organized. Designers from GDADRI presented their design achievements made so far, and the problems they met.

Professional group discussions lasted six full days, focusing mainly upon the design requirements and quotation norms of various majors. CSNS experts answered questions and provided solutions to most of the problems.

The preliminary design blueprint was expected to be finished before the end of this year.
