2010-09-14

A 100-thousand-cubic-meter balloon took off in the northwest of China on August 4, which marked a new CAS record in its eight  consecutive and successful high altitude balloon flights of this size since 2001. The experiment, conducted by researchers of the balloon system of the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), was also the seventh in the same area since 2003.

The experimental team arrived at the flight venue on June 15th, and made careful and reliable preparations in advance. The hard team efforts cashed in the success.
