Thirteen beamlines and relevant experimental stations with the Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF) were open to users from November 11th to December 21st, 2009.

225 Experiments ranging from condensed matter physics and life science to environment and archaeology were conducted at the Facility. The users were 73 institutions from 21 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions at home.

Part of the research projects were supported by the National Natural Science Foundation and the national "973” and "863" Programs.

This round of open running was very successful and offered strong support for the above programs and research.
