CSNS/RCS Magnet Power Supply Prototype Successfully Tested
On December 4th, China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Project invited experts to test the CSNS/RCS injection bump magnet power supply prototype at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP).
The experts listened to the report made by Prof. Chi Yunlong, followed by extended discussions over the R&D targets and the current progress. The experts witnessed a successful on-site test and concluded that CSNS/RCS injection bump magnet power supply prototype had met strict physical requirements. The peak current was no less than 18000A, programmable max di/dt: 260A/μs, and the tracking efficiency was better than ±2%.
Present at the meeting were experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP), Institute of Modern Physics (IMP), Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF).
