The Sixth International Workshop on e+e- collisions from phi to psi (PHIPSI09) was held at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), the Chinese Academy of Sciences from October 13th to 16th, 2009. Taking part in the workshop were over 120 attendees from 42 institutes, laboratories and key universities in France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Great Britain, USA and  China.

　　 60 reports were made at the plenary sessions of the workshop, which mainly focused on the problems in hadronic physics at e+e- colliders from low to high energies, such as the potential ofthe existing and future facilities, R measurements and physics applications, hadron production and it decaying mechanism, flavour physics and so on.

　　The Workshop was a great success. It was decided at the meeting that this Workshop will be held biennially, and the next one will be in New Siberia, Russia in September, 2011.
