Academician Chen Senyu opened the seminar by outlining its goals, he hoped a a clear and commonly-supported development strategy would be mapped out. The IHEP directors reported the developing strategies of their respective fields, followed by heated discussions. Though disputes exist, but it is good and helpful to clarifying some essential issues.
