On April 5,2005, BSRF Beamline 3B3 - Mid-X-ray range Double Crystal Monochromater - smoothly passed its acceptance test. Among the experts participating in the test were those from the Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics, Tongji University, Institute of High Energy Physics (CAS), Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics (CAS), Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics and Physics (CAS).

　　The Beamline 3B3 is a comprehensive hi-tech program composed of X-ray optics, fine mechanics, ultra-high vacuum technology, electronics, computer control, etc. It consists of the front end and the line itself, which constitutes the first Mid-X-ray range SR beamline on the Chinese mainland. It is of remarkable science importance, and will be mainly utilized in the research areas of metrology, detector calibration, optics component and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), etc at the Mid-X-ray range of 1.2KeV-6.0KeV.
