BESIII MDC Electronics Mass Production and Tests Unveiled
After several years of efforts, all the components of the BESIII MDC Electronics have entered into mass production.
Nearly 1000 pieces of preamplifier boards have passed in batches the long- term stability tests with each batch taking 5-7 days. Tests show that the boards fully meet the designed requirements, and are ready for installation on MDC end plates.
260 pieces of MQT modules, the main components of the system, are being soldered and tested.
Four test systems have been established, two of which are for performance and specifications test of the preamplifier and MQT modules, the other two serve as the test system for the 512 channels, which is responsible for long-term stability test on the already-tested modules. The user-friendly interface facilitates observation of the running status of all the 512 channels. The whole test will be finished by the end of August this year. Meanwhile, the 512 Channel MDC Electronics System is being integrated with the BESIII Online System.
