100mA*100mA Beam Collision Achived on BEPCII

2007-05-18
After the first beam collision on Mar. 25, the commissioning of the collision mode of the spare scheme for BEPCII storage ring continues to make progress.

With beam currents in both rings going up to more than 100 mA, 100mA*100mA beam collision with 20 bunches in each ring was successfully achieved on May 14. The luminosity estimated from the beam beam parameters measured has reached the level comparable to BEPC.
