Heading a CEA Delegation, Mr. Alain Bugat, Chairman of CEA, France visited IHEP on March 27, 2008. Prof. Chen Hesheng, Director of IHEP chaired a welcome discussion with Mr. Bugat. Leaders of the France-China Particle Physics Laboratory(FCPPL) and scientists involved in this cooperation attended the discussions.

　　Chen Hesheng extended warm welcome to the CEA guests and introduced the most recent developments and achievements made in various research fields over the recent years. Co-director of FCPPL, Dr. Lydia Roos introduced the activities hosted by FCPPL since its creation. Friendly discussions followed after the introductions.

　　French guests toured BEPCII and other IHEP scientific facilities and attended a dinner given by Chen Hesheng in their honor.

　　This is the first time for CEA top leader to visit IHEP, it is believed that the visit will be of great significance to enhancing the scientific collaboration between CEA and IHEP.
