Heading a CEA Delegation, Mr. Bernard Bigot, High Commissioner of Atomic Energy, Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), France visited IHEP on May 29, 2008. Prof. Chen Hesheng, Director of IHEP chaired a welcome discussion with Mr. Bigot. Heads of the France-China Particle Physics Laboratory (FCPPL) and scientists involved in this cooperation attended the discussions.

Chen Hesheng extended warm welcome to the guests and introduced the most recent developments and achievements made in various research fields over the recent years. Co-director of FCPPL, Dr. Lydia Roos introduced the activities hosted by FCPPL since its creation. Friendly discussions followed after the introductions.

Accompanied by Director Chen, French guests toured BEPCII and other IHEP scientific facilities. It is believed that the visit will be of great significance to advancing the scientific collaboration between CEA and IHEP.
