The LIDINE 2025 International Conference Successfully Held
The 9th International Conference on Light Detection in Noble Elements (LIDINE 2025) was successfully held in Hong Kong from October 21 to 24, 2025. The event was hosted by the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHEP, CAS), and the Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (HKISI, CAS).
The LIDINE conference series aims to foster close collaboration and in-depth exchanges among researchers in the fields of particle and nuclear physics, with a focus on detector technologies based on noble elements and their applications in frontier scientific research.
This year’s conference featured around 70 presentations, including plenary talks, oral presentations, and poster presentations. More than 100 researchers from China, the United States, Italy, France, Germany, and other countries and regions participated, with several joining remotely. During the conference, experts held in-depth discussions on noble-element detector technologies and their applications in dark matter detection, neutrino physics, rare decay studies, and medical imaging.
