WANG Yifang Elected to American Academy of Arts and Sciences as International Honorary Member
Prof. WANG Yifang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and researcher at the Institute of High Energy Physics of CAS, was recently elected to the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS) as an International Honorary Member. The announcement was made on April 23. A total of 250 outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves in academia, the arts, industry, policy, research, and science were elected as either Regular or International Honorary Members for 2025.
Founded in 1780, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences is one of the oldest and prestigious honorary societies in the U.S. Each year, the Academy selects influential members from a wide range of fields, including science, humanities, business, politics, and the arts. Its research initiatives address critical societal issues, including higher education and research, humanities and culture, science and technology policy, U.S. politics, population and environment, and child well-being.
Wang is also an international member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences.
