The 2023 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) from Clarivate, released on June 20, revealed that Chinese Physics C (CPC) has obtained a Journal Impact Factor of 3.6, placing CPC 4th among 22 journals in the field of physics, nuclear in Q1 and 10th among 30 journals in the field of physics, particles & fields in Q2.

CPC, an international journal covering topics in particles and fields, nuclear physics, particle and nuclear astrophysics, and cosmology, is sponsored by the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; and the Chinese Physical Society. Internationally, it is published in partnership with IOP Publishing. Since publication of its first issue in 1977, CPC has been a leading publication in high-energy and nuclear physics in China and has continued to expand its international impact and recognition.

The editorial board of CPC, composed of distinguished experts and scholars in the field, is dedicated to maintaining the journal’s scientific excellence and enhancing its global visibility. Its efforts have resulted in significant progress and the successful evolution of the journal.

In 2023, the total number of citations of the journal reached an impressive 5090 as reported by JCR. Additionally, CPC attained a notable CiteScore of 6.5 in the most recent Scopus ranking, placing it 14th among the 87 indexed journals in particle physics and nuclear physics.
