The agreement will promote cooperation in personnel exchange, postgraduate training, scientific and technological cooperation, academic activities, Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) design, and technological research and development between IHEP and the three Serbian research institutions.
During the visit, Prof. Wang also presented an overview of research activities at IHEP and Dr. Ljupco Hadzijevski, scientific director of the Vinca Institute, introduced the latter institute's research activities. An earlier MOU between IHEP and the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences was signed in 2016 and covered cooperation on the CEPC project. The two sides also discussed expanding the 2016 MOU to cover other fields of research such as low-energy accelerator technology, biomedicine and radiation protection, and nano sciences and technology, etc.
