2019-07-09

Chinese Physics C (CPC) is celebrating its highest ever impact factor, at 5.861, based on its ranking in 2018 Journal Citation Reports published by Clarivate Analytics on June 20. In impact, the journal is now ranked 4th in the world both for particle physics and nuclear physics, which puts it in the first quartile worldwide for both fields.

Chinese Physics C is an international journal for particle and nuclear physics, sponsored by the Chinese Physical Society, and supported by the Institute of High Energy Physics and the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In addition, the Chinese Physics C editorial office is delighted to announce that Chinese Physics C officially joined the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as a full member in June. COPE is committed to educating and supporting editors, publishers and those involved in publication ethics. Its aim is to move the culture of publishing towards one where ethical practices become a normal part of publishing culture. Its principal objects are “to educate and advance knowledge in methods of safeguarding the integrity of the scholarly record for the benefit of the public.” Joining COPE shows that Chinese Physics C intends to follow the highest standards of publication ethics and to apply COPE principles in order to promote publication ethics in both the peer review and publication processes.
