The 7^th IHEP-INFN Annual Cooperative Meeting was held at INFN headquarters in Rome on May 9^th and 10^th.

A ten-person IHEP delegation headed by Prof. Wang Yifang and a twenty-person INFN delegation headed by Prof. Fernando Ferroni took part in the meeting.

Mr. Cao Jianye, the Scientific Attaché of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Italy, also participated and addressed at the meeting.

Delegates from both sides gave reports on the status, results and progress of major projects involving collaboration between the two institutes. Discussion was held on subjects including frontier technologies for physics and detectors, the JUNO experiment, and medical physics applications. The two sides discussed some collaboration details and the possibility of extending the range of collaboration.

The next cooperation meeting will be held in Beijing in 2019.
