The 22^nd Annual Meeting of the Upgraded Beijing Electron Positron Collider was convened in Beijing from Sept. 10^th to 12^th. Over 120 participants from IHEP’s research divisions and from partner institutions attended.

Prof. Chen Hesheng, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), delivered an opening speech. He congratulated the BEPCII team on the progress in the accelerator’s performance over the last year. The meeting was held just after first beam was obtained at the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) in early September, and beam commissioning at CSNS is now in full swing. Prof. Chen expressed his gratitude for the help and support given by IHEP colleagues to the CSNS project.

IHEP research staff gave plenary talks on BEPCII commissioning and operation, data collection and physics at BESIII and open runs at BSRF. Delegates from other CAS institutes gave reports on the operation of their facilities, commissioning and upgrades. Progress on CSNS commissioning, ADS injector I, the ADS 25 MeV main accelerator, and the High Energy Photon Source was also reported at the meeting.

At the parallel sessions, representative for the BEPCII sub-systems gave reports summarizing their operation and commissioning experience over the past year. Discussions were held, experience was shared and many constructive suggestions were put forward.

To conclude the meeting, Prof. Qin Qing, IHEP deputy director, gave a summary report, And expressed his hope that every effort would be made to get ready for the next round of operation.
