The first IHEP-WIGNER Mini-Workshop was held at IHEP on March 20^th.  A four-person delegation from the Wigner Research Centre for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, headed by its Director General Peter LEVAI, attended the workshop.

CHEN Gang, Deputy Director of IHEP, extended his warm welcome to the delegation. Speakers from the Wigner Research Centre for Physics introduced the Centre’s activities and its international connections, including novel plasma based compact particle accelerators at the ELI-ALPS and AWAKE facilities, and neutron research at Budapest Neutron Centre.

After the talks, attendees discussed topics in related research fields and prospects for future collaboration between the two institutes in theoretical physics, accelerator physics, experimental physics and neutron physics.
