A five-person delegation from the National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation of Romania, headed by its president, Mr. Mihi-Robert Dima, visited IHEP on September 8th, 2016. Chen Gang, deputy director of IHEP, together with a number of IHEP staff, hosted the delegation.

On behalf of IHEP, Chen Gang welcomed the Romanian guests and introduced the status and future development plans of IHEP. Mr. Dima expressed admiration for IHEP’s achievements in scientific research. Mr. Nicolae ZAMFIR, director general of the Horia Hulubei National Institute for R&D in Physics and Nuclear Engineering, introduced the research programme at his Institute and expressed his hope to further strengthen its scientific cooperation with IHEP in the field of synchrotron radiation research and in exchanges of research personnel and PhD students. Both parties agreed to further discussion on related projects in future.

After the meeting, the visitors toured the Photomultiplier Laboratory, BEPCII, BSRF and the Computer Center.
