The International Symposium on Higgs Boson and Beyond Standard Model Physics was held at the Weihai campus of Shandong University from August 15 to 19. A total of 122 physicists and students from eight countries attended the meeting.
The conference brought together the latest results on Higgs boson physics in the Standard Model and beyond, from the ATLAS, CMS and LHCb experiments at the Large Hadron Collider. The latest results from dark matter and neutrino experiments were also presented.
Apart from updating the understanding of Higgs boson physics in the Standard Model and beyond, the meeting also covered recent progress on the search for new physics at the LHC and discussed the planning for a future Higgs factory.
A special session on the China-proposed Higgs factory was held to discuss the physics objectives and design of detectors and accelerators.
A forum for young physicists was also arranged for post-doctoral researchers and doctoral students to present their own research and exchange ideas with their peers.
