2016-06-23

Chinese Physics C (CPC) is celebrating its 7th consecutive rise in Impact Factor, to 3.761, in the 2015 Journal Citation Reports published by Thomson Reuters on  June 13th. This is CPC’s highest ever Impact Factor. The journal is now ranked 9th in the world for particle physics and 6th for nuclear physics, which puts it in the second quartile worldwide for both fields.

Chinese Physics C is an international journal for particle and nuclear physics, sponsored by the Chinese Physical Society, and supported by the Institute of High Energy Physics and the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In 2012, CPC published the Atomic Mass Evaluation, an important data resource for the nuclear physics community. In 2013, CPC joined the Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3), the only Asian journal to do so. In 2014, the journal published the Particle Data Group’s Review of Particle Physics. Over the last two years, the journal has switched to an all-English website and new ScholarOne-based manuscript system, and is preparing for further developments in the months ahead.
