Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment Collaboration Meeting Held at IHEP

2016-04-01

The 26th Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment Collaboration Meeting was held from March 17th to 20th, 2016, at IHEP. The meeting this year attracted more than 70 scientists and young scholars from around 10 universities and institutes in China, as well as Brookhaven National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Illinois Institute of Technology, Charles University (Czech Republic) and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia).

At the meeting, attendees discussed the current operating status and the latest results in physics analysis. Issues concerning the physics analysis, plans for liquid scintillator replacement, operation and maintenance were discussed. The Collaboration also made plans  for the 2016 publication schedule,  including the announcement of results at the summer conferences. These include the measurement of neutrino oscillation parameters, measurement of reactor antineutrino flux and spectrum, search for new physics, measurement of inverse beta reaction by neutron capture on hydrogen, and cosmic muon studies.

The next Collaboration Meeting will be held at the University of Taiwan in December 2016.
