The Workshop on X-ray Imaging Technologies and Applications, hosted by the Laboratory for X-ray Optics and Technology of IHEP, was held in Beijing from November 9 to 10, 2015. More than 30 scholars from ANL of the United States, IHEP, Shandong University, Shenzhen University and SLAC of the United States, and from the industries at home attended the workshop.

The workshop was co-chaired by Liu Peng and Zhu Peiping from IHEP. Liu Peng introduced the status and progress of HEPS (High Energy Photon Source), and the directions for development, key technologies of the Laboratory for X-ray Optics and Technology of IHEP. The aim of the workshop is to promote the progress and development of HEPS and the Laboratory for X-ray Optics and Technology of IHEP, and the collaboration among the related institutions.

At the workshop, delegates of the represented institutions introduced respectively on their progress in imaging technologies and applications. Deep exchanges and discussions were made on the collaboration and technology development in the future. The workshop got many valuable suggestions about the future development of HEPS and the Laboratory for X-ray Optics and Technology of IHEP.

At the end of the workshop, the attendees had a site tour of the Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility and the Laboratory for X-ray Optics and Technology of IHEP.
