Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research（MIUR）delegation headed by its minister Stefania Giannini visited IHEP on November 16th, 2015. Wang Yifang, director of IHEP, together with scientists in the related fields hosted the delegation.

On behalf of IHEP, Wang Yifang extended warm welcome to the Italian guests. He introduced the status, future development plans of IHEP and joint research programs between IHEP and Italian institutions.

Stefania Giannini, Minister of Education, University and Research made positive remarks on the collaboration between the two nations in the field of high energy physics. She hoped to further strengthen scientific cooperation between the two nations.

Both sides discussed in detail the latest results of joint research programs as well as possible cooperation in the future.

The Italian Ambassador to China Ettore Francesco Sequi and the Nobel Prize winner Carlo Rubbia also joined the visit.
