IHEP and the South University of Science and Technology of China (SUSTC) reached a comprehensive and strategic cooperative agreement on October 23, 2015.

The agreement was signed when Director of CSNS and CAS Academician Chen Hesheng and Associate Director of IHEP Chen Yuanbo were invited to visit SUSTC and attend a meeting on science research there. At the meeting, Chen Hesheng gave a talk on CSNS, introducing its construction progress and future applications.

The official name of the agreement takes “the Framework Agreement for Cooperation between IHEP and SUSTC”, which was signed by Chen Yuanbo and Tang Tao, Vice President of SUSTC. Under the agreement, a joint laboratory will be established to plan the construction of the SUSTC spectrometer and a neutron science research center will also be established to carry out collaboration in neutron science, talent cultivation and joint application for projects and so on.

Wang Fangwei, Jia Xuejun and Wang Sheng from CSNS took part in the above activities.
