The Eighth Workshop on Black Hole Astro-physics and the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Pioneer Initiative B Project "Origin of the Universe Structure" were held in Kunming from October 14 to 16, 2015. 

The meetings were organized by IHEP and chaired by Prof. Wang Jianmin. More than 100 scholars from the CAS astronomical observatories and the universities attended. At the workshop, Director of the Key Laboratory for Particle Astro-physics Zhang Shuangnan and Director of the Yunnan Astronomical Observatory Bai Jinming made remarks respectively. 

The main topics of the workshop included black holes and the other physics process of dense celestial systems, galaxy activities and the evolution and formation of super-large black holes, neutron stars and pulsar, medium and small black holes and the other high energy astro-physics process and phenomena. The workshop had 56 talks, studies and results were reported at greater length. Serious and wide discussions and exchanges followed. 

Vice President of the Yunnan University Zhang Li gave a summary speech, he spoke highly of the results achieved by the meetings and hoped that the collaboration among the representing institutions would be further strengthened.
