10th International Hiroshima Symposium on the Development and Application of Semiconductor Tracking Detectors Held in Xi'an
Jointly Sponsored by IHEP, Xi'an Jiaotong University and the University of Science and Technology of China, the 10th International "Hiroshima" Symposium on the Development and Application of Semiconductor Tracking Detectors (HSTD10) was held in Xi'an from September 25 to 29, 2015. More than 100 scholars from China, Europe, the U.S.A. and Japan attended the symposium.
52 oral talks were delivered at the symposium, including those from the LHC experiments and covering such fields as the most recent results from LHC silicon tracking detector upgrade, synchrotron radiation, particle astro-physics, medical diagnosis and so on. In addition, 57 papers were exhibited.
HSTD10 is a high-level international conference on semiconductor tracking detectors and is held in China for the first time. At the symposium, the Chinese scientists had 5 oral talks, showing great progress made in semiconductor detectors over the past few years. Among the five Chinese talks, four were from IHEP, attracting interests from our international partners.
The meeting has been a full success. It will play an active role in further promoting our studies in high precision pixel, silicon detectors and electronics.
