CEPC Physics Analysis Working Week Draws to A Successful Close
More than 30 teachers and students from IHEP, the University of CAS, Shandong University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, Tsinghua University, Nankai University, the Southeast University, China University of Geosciences and the Institute of Atomic Energy attended the CEPC Physics Analysis Working Week, which lasted two weeks from August 17 to 28, 2015.
The working week aimed to carry out studies on the physics analysis and detector optimization for the CDR phase of CEPC, making the attendees master relevant knowledge and techniques as soon as possible. The first week was mainly spent upon introduction and training while the second week on working practices. The attendees chose to join teams of their interests, performing actual studies and analysis with the guidance of the experts.
The attendees spoke highly of the working week, which made it available for them to know and understand CEPC physics by combining theory and practice. A sizable part of the attendees could independently carry out the analysis at the end of the working week.
The working week was co-chaired by Li Gang and Ruan Manqi of IHEP. Director of the Center for Experimental Physics of IHEP Lou Xinchou made opening remarks.
