Symposium on CEPC Mont Carlo Computing Work Convened at IHEP

2015-05-13

The Center for Future High Energy Physics held a working symposium on CEPC Monte Carlo computation from May 5-6, 2015. More than 20 experts from China and elsewhere attended the symposium.

The physics goals of CEPC were first introduced at the symposium, as well as important and potentially feasible physics processes. With ten plenary talks concentrating on current Monte Carlo theory tools and future development, the researchers discussed and analyzed the needs of Monte Carlo tools in the future. It was agreed that cooperation and exchanges between Monte Carlo computing and physics analysis teams should be further strengthened, making Monte Carlo computing tools a bridge between theory and experiment.

Overall, the symposium was a full success, laying a good foundation for the application of Monte Carlo tools in CEPC in the future.
