The 3rd IHEP-INFN Annual Bilateral Meeting on Scientific Cooperation was successfully held at INFN headquarters, Rome, on May 16th.

Prof. Fernando FERRONI, President of INFN, opened the meeting by welcoming the Chinese delegation headed by Prof. WANG Yifang, Director of IHEP.

Prof. Wang thanked Prof. Ferroni for INFN’s hospitality and expressed his hope that the collaboration between the two Institutes will continue to see much progress and success  as they go into the future together.

During the meeting, the Chinese representatives first gave a status report on China's accelerator and light source facilities. Both sides then discussed the latest results and upgrades at BESIII, the LHAASO project, the Juno Experiment, the dark matter search experiments CsI(Na), HERD and DAMPE .

A general discussion was held on the future CEPC/SppC facility, and on medical physics applications such as Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) treatment.

The next cooperation meeting will be held at IHEP in May 2015.
