Asia-Oceania physicists explore neutron scattering cooperation

17 physicists from Asia-Oceania area gathered in Dongguan to exchange experience and progress of the neutron scattering research at the 11th Executive Meeting of the Asia-Oceania Neutron Scattering Association (AONSA) and Facility Directors Meeting from Nov. 16 to 17.

The participants introduced their users’ distribution and operation performances of the facilities in Korea, Australia, Japan and China. Detailed discussions were made on the experience of facility construction and future development of the neutron scattering research in Asia-Oceania area.

At the meeting, Prof. CHEN Hesheng, CAS Academician was elected as the member of the Executive Committee of AONSA, and Prof. WANG Fangwei elected as the observer of AONSA. A tour to the CSNS construction site was organized after the meeting.
