The 34th Meeting of the U.S. /PRC Joint Committee on High Energy Physics

November 1, 2013 in the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). The U.S. delegation was led by Dr. James Siegrist, Associate Director of the Office of Science for High Energy Physics, U.S. Department of Energy. The Chinese delegation was led by Dr. XU Ruiming, Director-General of the Bureau of Frontier Sciences and Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

At the meeting, heads of both delegations recalled the Sino-US cooperation on high energy research over the past year. Two special reports on Daya Bay Experiment and BESIII Experiment were delivered at the meeting. Chinese delegation announced that a special fund for Sino-US cooperation will be set up. By applying to this fund, Chinese scientists will have more opportunities to conduct high energy research in the United States. After extended discussions, both sides agreed with the 34th U.S./PRC Cooperative Program in High Energy Physics for 2013-2014.
