At the opening ceremony of the 15th Annual Conference of the Chinese Science & Technology Association (CSTA) held in Guiyang on May 25,

Prof.Wang Yifang

WANG Yifang, Director of the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) was conferred the "ZHOU Guangzhao Foundation Award for Basic Sciences" for his contributions to the BESIII physics and the Daya Bay neutrino oscillation experiment in China.

The ZHOU Guangzhao Foundation was sponsored by Mr. ZHONG Jianguo and has been administrated by the CSTA. Zhou Guangzhao serves as its permanent honorary chairman.

The objectives of the Foundation are to encourage outstanding scientific and technological personnel, especially young and middle-aged Chinese scientists who have dedicated to basic science research and have made outstanding contributions in the field.
