launched on March 6. Prof. Jiang Xiaoming, IHEP associate director, announced in his welcome remarks at the launching ceremony.

As one of the projects under the National Key Basic Research and Development Plan of China (973 Program), it aims to solve key scientific issues on metabolism and metabolic mechanism of biomedical nanomaterials in vivo and the development of in situ, real-time, and quantitative techniques to analyze the metabolic process of biomedical nanomaterials.

Prof. Gao Xueyun, the Chief Scientist of the Project reported at the launching ceremony: “the overall goal of the project is not only to elucidate the biomedical nanomaterials’ cellular metabolic mechanism and establish the relative analysis methodology, but also to provide a solid technological support for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases.”
