China’s roadmap for ILC cooperation discussed
2012-06-06
From May 29 to 30, the Institute of High Energy Physics hosted the Second China’s Linear Collider Workshop (CLCWS12) in Xijiao Hotel, Beijing. Over thirty front-line scientists on theoretical physics,
experimental physics, detectors and accelerators attended the meeting.
The meeting started with a key-note speech from Prof. Wang Yifang, IHEP Director. In his speech, Wang introduced the development of China’s high energy physics and its international cooperation. As the chair of CLCWS12, Gao Jie gave a general introduction on the progress of international cooperation in linear colliders.
Ten talks on such topics as TeV physics, ILC experimental physics R&D, linear collider detector design and technology development and so on were arranged at the meeting, followed then by wide-ranging discussions about China’s possible future involvement in the International Linear Collider (ILC) Project.
