Chinese netizens visit IHEP

A group of over 50 netizens from two websites (www.people.com.cn and www.sciencenet.cn) visited the Institute of High Energy 

 
 the netizens visit the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC)
Physics on the afternoon of July 22nd.

Prof. WANG Huanyu, the IHEP Associate Director hosted the visit and extended his warm welcome to the netizens, he gave a brief introduction on IHEP’s developing history and research achievements. The netizens toured the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC), Beijing Spectrometer (BESIII) and the Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF), followed by active discussions and exchanges with the scientists.

Initiated by the two websites, the tour is part of the essay contest "Chinese Academy of Sciences in My Heart" that is organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Exhibiting great interest, the netizens cherished this activity a great opportunity to communicate with the scientist and to visit China's mega-science facilities on site.
