Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASIC) signed a formal contract to develop the high power tetrode RF power source on May 25, 2011 in Beijing.

At the signing ceremony, Dr. CHEN Hesheng, the IHEP Director emphasized the importance of the cooperation and spoke highly of the efforts made by the CASIC Radio Measurement Institute. He commented that for quite some time the CASIC Radio Measurement Institute has joined

in the key CSNS components R&D and helped with solving many technological problems. It's the right time when both sides further and strengthen the existing cooperation.

Dr. JIN Liliang, the Director of the Radio Measurement Institute introduced their research products and technologies. He pointed out that CSNS was a project with great complexity that calls for deep and broad professional knowledge. The Radio Measurement Institute has rich experience in high-tech manufacturing and IHEP in basic science research, once we combine and put our advantages into full play, we could make greater contributions to the nation's biggest mega-science project.

The high power tetrode RF power source is one of the key components of the China Spallation Neutron Source Project (CSNS). As the largest mega-science facility to be built in China, the CSNS project has already been listed among the Economic and Social Developing Outlines of the nation's Twelfth Five-year Plan.
