At the ILCSC Meeting held on Feb.17, Dr. Jonathan Bagger who is the current ILCSC Chair prospected the future development of the International Linear Collider (ILC) in his report "ILC post 2012".
ICFA Meeting started from the evening of Feb.17. Dr. Atsuto Suzuki who is the current ICFA Chair introduced FALC (the Funding Agencies for Large Colliders ) and the ICFA guidelines. Dr. Rolf Heuer reported on the arrangements for the next ICFA meeting.
ICFA was created to facilitate international collaboration in the construction and use of accelerators for high energy physics. It was created in 1976 by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics. The ILCSC, as a Sub-panel of ICFA, is established in order to facilitate a global support towards the realization of the International Linear Collider (ILC) as a global collaborative effort.
Great success was achieved for both meetings. The ILCSC Chair and the executive secretary of ICFA emailed their thanks right after the meeting, in which they spoke highly of the efficient work done by the IHEP organizers.
Emails of thanks:
Thank you for all your help making the ILCSC meeting work out so well. You and you colleagues made it a very special event. And thank you for taking care of us on a holiday. We will never forget all the fireworks you lit just for us!
