Post Doctoral Fellow on the BESIII Experiment

at the Institute of High Energy Physics

The Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position in experimental particle physics on the BESIII experiment at the Beijing electron-positron Collider (BEPC).  The BESIII experiment has collected over 1 billion J/ψ events, 0.5 billion ψ(2S) events, and large datasets at the ψ(3770) and at ~4 GeV, and plans to take additional data at energies above the ψ(3770)resonance.

The successful applicant will be based in Beijing, China. A Ph.D. in experimental high energy particle physics is required. The successful candidate will be expected to play an important role in the physics analysis of the electron-positron collision data collected with the BESIII detector, and toparticipate in the calibration of the BESIII detector. 

The appointment will be for a period of two years with a possible extension of another two years.
